Nettlestar slipped down to the bank of the river, being careful not to slip. The water was low, but Nettlestar was not a cat that took chances. At least, not with possible death.

She lifted her head and stared over the river, straining to see the other side, even though it was mostly covered in mist. Her tabby fur was whipped around by the wind, making it messier than it would have been otherwise, but Nettlestar did not notice.

She narrowed her eyes, certain there was something across the river.

After a few seconds she dipped her paw in the water, and drew it back out with a startled hiss.

That water is cold. I'm not going across, no matter how curious I may be.

Nettlestar heard Moonlight's pawsteps behind her and tensed for a second before noticing her scent. She turned around slowly to look at her.

"Hello Moonlight. Can't you see something over there? I think I do, but my eyes have never been the sharpest." Nettlestar meowed softly, not wanting her voice to be heard by the-something-that may-be-across-the-river.

OOC - Well, they will be cold, but not really cold. Just uncomfortable.

Serpent, a loner, was on the opposite side of the river, hunting when he saw the two clanners. He kept his distance, but watched with a mix of curiosity and spite. He hated clanners and nothing would ever change that. He kept himself hidden, hoping the thick mist would cover his scent, as he watched the two cats.

Nettelstar turned away from Moonlight and stepped into the shallows of the river in one fluid motion.

"There's someone there." she meowed to Moonlight before raising her voice.

"Come out." she meowed, his voice almost a hiss.

Nettlestar blinked in surprise.

I didn't know there were rogues that lived around here.

Nettlestar glanced at Moonlight, making sure she was healthy enough to fight before speaking.

"Only to know why you are on our territory." she meowed calmly, yet firmly.

Typical arrogant clanner behavior Serpent thought to himself.

"Oh, I'm just going out for a hunt." he said defiantly. He knew that he wasn't supposed to be hunting on clan turf, but that just made him do it more. He glared at the two cats, his tail lashing from side to side.

Wishstar frowned. It didn't mar her pretty features, in fact, it made them stand out more. However, Wishstar didn't know that, nor did she care.

"You aren't allowed to hunt on clan territory....you know that." she meowed, her voice confused as to why he would disobey. He didn't look very skinny....
