This is where cats can come to ask Dapplednight about problems, have her deal with wounds, ask about prophecies, tell about prophecies, or to visit Badgerpaw. This is where Badgerpaw and Dapplednight sleep during the night. Badgerpaw can visit Dapplednight here, help her dress wounds, and complete stages of his Medicine Cat training.

Badgerpaw padded into Dapplednight's den, his ears pricked with curiousity. Dapplednight had promised to teach him how to treat wounds, and he sure wasn't going to be late for that.
The distinctive scent lead him directly towards the corner of her den, to the herb store. Carefully not to step on any of the delicate plants and leaves he craned his neck forward, inhaling the scent of each herb, trying to memorize which scent belonged to which herb. To his severe embarrasement, he breathed in too sharply over the poppy seeds, sticking a few of them to his nose. He sneezed in reaction, which he regretted immediately. The whole pile was scattered over the ground, and over the other herbs. Flushing with embarrasement he hurried to somehow hide the mess from Dapplednight, licking up a few of the seeds and depositing them back on the pile, or trying to, the result being that the seeds were stuck on his tongue, now.

"Badgerpaw! You will give yourself a bellyache eating all those poppy seeds."Dapplednight sighed and went over to help Badgerpaw. By the time they were done cleaning up the herbs Shimmerleaf had walked in. "Come here Shimmerleaf. Okay Badgerpaw first we will usually make a poultice, but today we will just chew up the marigold leaves. After that we carefully spit it on to the wound and let the juices seep in. Besides that we will also give Shimmerleaf some poppy seeds to ease the pain and help her rest."

OOC: Maybe you could delete your last sentence, and let Badgerpaw dress the wound? I'd like to get some practice myself RPing a med. cat apprentice, and he'll have more out of training, that way...
His fur still fluffed up with embarrasement, Badgerpaw nodded, concentrating on the task at hand. He chewed up the leaves Dapplednight showed him, trying to ignore the bitter taste they left in his mouth that made him want to spit the poultice right back out, run to the neareast stream to get a mouthful and drink some refreshing water...He resisted the urge, and spit it on the wound. Giving Shimmerleaf a reassuring lick on the shoulder as the older cat winced at the juices seeping into her wound, he smiled to himself. Catching the first piece of prey could feel half as good as this.
He gazed at Dapplednight proudly, then his face fell. "Dapplednight...do you think I'm the right cat for this position..I-I haven't had a single dream, not even a small sign from StarClan yet, like, if it's going to rain tomorrow or not..."

"Badgerpaw even I have seen in the stars that you were meant to be my apprentice. The reason you haven't been having prophetic dreams is that we haven't been able to travel to Fallenstar Cave yet. You should be more confident you are a great Medicine Cat."

Badgerpaw's eyes widenend, StarClan must mean it if they had chosen to send Dapplednight a dream about it. He touched his muzzle to Dapplednight's, grateful for her reassurance, wanting to show her how much it meant to him.
Stepping back, he mewed, ready to prove to the stars that he indeed was worthy of their trust in him: "Okay, what are we doing now?"

Dapplednight let out a mmmrrrooww of laughter. Her apprentice had his spirit back! "Right now we should go gather some herbs near the bramble thicket."
OOC-This should be the end for now. We can start another post somewhere or start a new topic here.

Badgderpaw nodded enthusiastically, boundind out of the medicine cat's den and into the forest beyong the camp without waiting to see if Dapplednight had caught up, feeling the thrill of the wind brushing his pelt and the many scents of the forest reach his scent glands.
